Chicano studies 100 1:00 March 3, 2012 Vicente Chente Fernandez was born on February 17, 1940 in the vill historic period of Huentitan El Alto, Jalisco, Mexico. Vincente Fernandez was the son of a rancher, Ramon Fernandez and homemaker, Paula Gomez Fernandez. At the age of six, Chente dreamed of pursuing a career in singing. At age 8, he got a guitar and quickly learned to manoeuver and began to study folk music. Vicente grew up in poverty, and when his dad mixed the ranch he go to Tijuana where he controled as a janitor, dishwasher and a waiter. He later on travel to Mexico City, where he found a job singing at a restaurant called, El Amanacer Tapatio and began performing in the streets for tips. When he wasnt defecateing he was auditioning for recording companies and was constantly being turned down. In 1966, a tragedy created an opportunity for Fernandez. In the spring of that year, Javier Solis, Mexicos most traditional singer died. To fill that gap, record companie s such as CBS Mexico, known as Sony Discos at one time called on Fernandez. Originally the record company had spurned Fernandez, who so offered him a recording contract. He released his first single Perdoname, with Sony Discos in 1966. Fernandezs Career took off at that point and has been round the clock ever since. Now for over 40 years, Vicente Fernandez has maintained his key as the greatest singer in Mexico today, gathering an operatic vocal range, with a deep understanding of the roots of ranchera music. His grant to use his melodramatic voice has no comparison. In scads of Mexican films in which he has been a star, a custom he often was left to perfection; the proud charro, or Mexican cowboy. Not content with only singing and recording, Chente crosss his work into film in 1971. Chente appears in his first Mexican production, Uno y Medio Contra el Mundo. Three years later, Chente started in his first reversal film, La Ley del Monte. The album of the music in this tantrum also becomes a hit.
